Odin's just collasped it's 11.45pm

Omg i have just came back from picking my kids up with Odin and he jumped out of the car and spotted a FOX and that was it the chase began next thing I knew he was dropping to the ground right in front of my eyes in slow motion, the bloody car keys went flying out of my hands the kids had already gone in side and I am sitting in the on the street with the dog trying to keep him calm but at the same time thinking omg don't die on me is he having a heart attack .
His eyes got that funny look again glazed I laid with him until he pulled himself together but I honestly thought he was dying on me and this really upset me seeing him just dropping like that .

Oh no. Two friends of mine have had very similar symptoms with their GSDs, involving chasing. Both times the dog flaked out due to over-exertion but was fine afterwards. Also know a border collie that did same after too much herding on the hill.

Apparently dogs don't get tired like we do running about, we slow down, but their systems are designed to keep going (esp the endurance working breeds) and then they just stop / collapse for recovery.

i hope this is the case and it's nothing serious with Odin. Let us know?
