May I add my twopeneth?
Although this say's more about the idiots that have the dog, than the breed.
Yesterday we decided to visit my housebound Mum and exercise Bailey at the same time, Lynne went off to see my Mum while 50 yards away is the River Thames footpath so I decided to walk Bailey there, within 100yards I spotted 3 lads with I believe was a terrier (I'm not sure what type) as I approached I shortened Bailey's lead and one of the lads asked if he could approach us, I said yes and he did. His mate seemed to take umbridge to this and said, Bailey might be bigger and prettier than his dog, but can he fight? My answer was.
No! you might by prettier and younger than me, but can you swim?
With that he gathered his stuff together and left his mates fussing Bailey.
Very tactful I thought, in my younger days I'd have just thrown him in
Oh aren't they just scum!!! At least his mates saw sense, or couldn't swim + didn't want to chance it

Yes I was a bit harsh I took offence to the initial post thinking it was a dig at our breed from an outsider, now I have taken the time to read Zetstaffs other posts I realise I may have jumped the gun lol.
This is actually one of my favourite photos (but I stand by my my statement that many are dog aggressive and need responsible owners)
Lucy & Rocky
You're coming round though
