Smile Anyone run with their dog?

I bought 2 harnesses for the dogs at Crufts, and a running belt for me. From here.. Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce
Got a discount too

I have to say they are the best fitting harnesses I've found. Easy to put on, just go over the dog's head, and the under leg bits are fleece as well so they don't rub. I bought sensible colours - a black for Remus and a brown for Zee.

I tested them on a run this afternoon.. absolutely brilliant. It feels weird running along not holding onto the leads, as they clip to D rings on my belt. The result was a lot less tension in my shoulders, and the dogs made my run much easier as they gently pulled me along. The only problem is they don't know I like to do the first mile steady!

My first shepherd, Jester, used to run with me but he never went on the lead. He did tell me when he'd had enough though as he'd start deliberately trying to trip me up! I miss him Couldn't run with Joker and Eva though, reckon I'd end up face first in a puddle as quick as ya like!

Remus knows what to do, he keeps straight. Zee's new to it.. she can be a bit of a weaver, and on one occasion she tripped me up down a farm track. I fell near a large puddle, and just when I was thinking how lucky I was in avoiding it, both of them charged through it towards me to see what I was doing on the ground! Nice

I've a dreadmill, but not tried the dogs on it. Our dearly departed cat got on it once, was so funny, he couldn't work out how to get off!
