Holiday with a GSD - Suggestions Please!
Hi
We are thinking of having a holiday with our Diva this year and would welcome any suggestions. Ideally we would like it to include beautiful coastline/ nice beach, countryside feel ie quiet with loads of fields/ forests/ walks/ small villages,..
Im not asking much, am I?

I was looking on the internet the other day at Dog Friendly hotels, google it, they are everywhere!!
I would imagine the possibilities are endless, also look into privately renting, I know the OH knows of a website where people privately rent out their villas and I am sure many are pet friendly

Thanks Lucy. I have googled it and found quite a few websites about doggie-friendly accommodation so thats all cool; however I need suggestions about locations/ areas?

Depends where you are from I guess and how far you want to go, my Mum often takes her CollieX to a place in the moors. The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorks
They enjoy it, nothing much is around there but lots of places to walk, so it is just a nice quiet break for them.

We're in Bristol and would be prepared to travel (drive) no more than 3/4 hours.

Been to Brixham. I was thinking more Exmoor NP or North Devon like Lynton/ Lynmouth? Coastline looks stunning and with the NP nearby Im sure there would be plenty of walks available. Will do another search later...

Hi Chrystele
If you put "The Old Chapel" in the search box above it will take you to my Holiday thread last year - we booked a dog friendly cottage - The Old Chapel and it was near Branscome and Brancaster and Beer beaches - all dog friendly and if you wanted to drive to the moors you could easily for walks. The outside space was brilliant - you had your own private spot of river!
