Can I ask please,..how do you know it is the Husky in the crate doing this, and not Bel outside the crate?
has he always done this?,.. you say he is crate trained,..and have you changed the situation,..i.e. have you moved the crate?,..I am looking to see if there is a `trigger` here

il answer all in one reply if i miss any questions then am sorry lol.... I cant leave him out of the crate when am out for 2 reasons...
1. If i leave him in the front room when am out he pulls my curtains down and he,s ripped 2 pairs already
2. I cant leave him in the hall and landing cause when i open the front door he dashes out and sometimes i aint fast enough to grab his collar and the front garden doesnt have a gate or fence and its communial garden at front so that causes problems
I know its not bel as she has a crate to and is put in it when i go out and her crate aint near his, and she dont wee in her crate anymore,
Sometimes he dont like going in the crate but most of the time he goes in it as soon as i say bed and he lies right down and isnt bothered by being in it and most of the day if he aint in the garden in the sun or playing with bel or on a walk he will go in there by himself and sleep
Oh yeah and crate hasnt been moved at all, it is a new one cause i had a savic but it had a plastic tray which broke and also the catch on it broke and was to hard for me to get it to close so we went and got him one of ebay with a metal tray
Hope thats answered all lol and thanks for the cleaning tip will go and get some today as we use the tabs lol.

Bel, it biological powder (any with enzymes in) you want to use to get rid of the smell. Not non-bio
Sounds like he's scent marking to me. If you catch him doing it you can use a tin of pebbles to make a distraction noise. Maybe neutering will help with his behaviour...

If you got the crate from ebay as 'used' maybe he can smell the other dog from it and is marking it as his now....... maybe give it a right good scrub to get rid of any old smells xxx
