This is a new one on me,.. I think if I was you I would cover the sides up so he cant do this,... many people make their cages like a little den anyway, by covering them

You could use towels Bel? Then if he does it anyway they can go straight in the wash? x

hes not left for that long as i dont work dont have children so id say hes left for about a hour or two it just seems he dont even try to hold it atm even at night he,d be crated at 2am and then up at 9am to go out for a wee but theres always a puddle of wee just out side of his crate,

we have now changed his night time sleeping area and he dont sleep in his crate anymore he sleeps on the landing or by the front door and he holds and doesnt wee anywhere but when hes in his crate he will,

do you think its more scenting his area? if so this should stop once hes been and has his opp? also any good cleaning stuff for sofas as he has managed to get his wee to hit it a few times

Hmm, maybe he's protesting at being in the crate? Does he go into the crate quite happily?

Try non-bio washing powder with warm water on the sofa....xx

I was thinking the same about protesting Lynn, but I haven't heard of this before either

Sorry but don't know what to suggest other than leave him out of the crate if it's safe x

See I would leave him out of the crate if he's not peeing or chewing too....I wonder if maybe he finds the crate stressful?
