As well as dirt, we have the Scottish midgy to deal with[ come April ], we dont want the one inside,..and we dare not let the other inside.

Our saving grace is our conservatory at the back, we will let the dogs outside from the front, and when its time to come in we open the front door, and shout `go round`,.. they then run around to the conservatory,..we let them in.

Here they can not only dry off, but we also spray midge repellent, by the time 15 mins have gone, they have shook, dried their feet and the midgies on them are dead.

Safe, clean house,..lol

For those who dont know what a Scottish midge is,..its a very small biting insect, the air can be black with them and they will eat you alive if you let them in,.we dare not let the dogs in without fumagating, their coats will be full of them

Conservatory was the best thing we ever built...lol

Oh yes, they get well into their coats,... we have only ever really found one spray that works well, and that is,..the blue spray cans of `RAID fly and wasp killer`.

As they come through the door, and past us they get a quick spray along their backs and a second in the air,...then leave for 10 mins
