An apology to Bailey, we are the problem

At just turned a year old we/I (Lynne's at work) have sussed Bailey, while he was responding well to his training and giving us a 75% positive reaction to his commands, we always felt we could get more from him.
He responds to food as a reward he will only respond for a short time and is easy distracted, but offer his ball on a rope you've got him 100% focussed. Its always a pleasure to have Bailey, but today he showed me what he can do if the idiot on the other of the lead gets his act in order.
Bailey I thank you for your patience and understanding, and promise to shape up from now on.
Hopefully if the video can be flipped over I'll prove it................................
Oh come on........ we cant multitask remember

I was discussing Tegan now 16 weeks old with a police dog handler on Tuesday night and he was saying you get far more out of your dog if it has good toy drive. (he had a large Kong with rope through it).

It works it honestly does. We used Tegan's favourite ball and in the space of 10 minutes taught her how to speak on command something I could never do offering food treats.

How weird, I was talking to an ex Cozzer this very morning (a neighbours father) he's going to get me a guest pass to take Bailey to Keston for a day or so.

I used to be one left on a career break 7 years ago and never went back.

Mind you the influence of working closely with Specialist Firearms GSDs was one of the reasons we have Tegan. Fabulous dogs and I wouldn't have anything else.

Enjoy your guest pass you will enjoy it and so will Bailey

Ray you are the MAIN MAN. Keep up the good work. I will try Sheba with a toy

At training on Sunday the instructor was talking about treats in training puppies & said that they are fine as long as you can wean them off treats
