Barney(9 months) has been humpy Misty, or trying at least, for months now. She does not like him trying it on. His idea of foreplay is biting her back! She was spayed when she was about a year and I had no issues with her.
The question of getting him 'done' has arisen but I am keen to wait until he is fully mature (18 months at least as he is a giant breed I would imagine). He is also going through a nervous phase and can be jumpy around new things/dogs he does not know so I want to get him through this.
Bit concerned it's going to cost me an arm and a leg though, he is 45 kilos+ now

Not necessarily will it cost you a fortune.

Where I got Harley done, their costs were £50 for under 35kg and £65 for over.
