Importing Dog Question

Hello everyone.

I am considering importing a Czech German Shepherd from a strong working line. My question is since Czech Republic is in the EU does the dog need to go through quarentine. I know someone who imported a cropped and docked Dobermann from Russia but the dog was 10 months old before they got it because of quarentine whereas i would rather have the dog since early puppyhood.

Sadly not. I've decided to hold off getting getting a working GSD for a while as i've not got the time for all the attention that they need as they seem so highly strung. Got a female Rottie a few months ago though, she's doing great. Hoping to get a GSD over the next year, although there is some debate in the house over a GSD or a Siberian Husky. I vote GSD.

Having owned both breeds, they are totally different, a Siberian Husky is a beautiful animal and can be great fun to own but I don't think it is possible to bond with one in the same way as a GSD.
