my 3yr old gsd wees the floor every time someone comes in the house, she barks when they knock, and when they come in she just wees the floor,is this fear or excitement, can l get her out of it,any advice please
My GSD pup kept doing this with ourselves everytime we came in, I think from excitement. We started letting her out the door as soon as we opened it so she would "wee" outside or else we completely ignored her and spoke to her once we were in, jackets off. etc, and she had settled down. She no longer does it.
we have had her since she was 1yr old,she hasnt always done it,she seems to have got worse as she gets older, she wasnt a rescue
probably excitment and cant wait to greet whoever at the door.. try asking whoever is visiting to completely ignore her not even look at her. sure someone here will come up with some expert advise

Could be submissive urination. Max developed this habit at about 3 year old after being left overnight. To stop him jumping up we used to put him in a sit as soon as the door was opened. But this turned to him peeing up me leg. So then we ignored and took straight out, seemed to cure the problem.
