My GSD pup kept doing this with ourselves everytime we came in, I think from excitement. We started letting her out the door as soon as we opened it so she would "wee" outside or else we completely ignored her and spoke to her once we were in, jackets off. etc, and she had settled down. She no longer does it.

Could be submissive urination. Max developed this habit at about 3 year old after being left overnight. To stop him jumping up we used to put him in a sit as soon as the door was opened. But this turned to him peeing up me leg. So then we ignored and took straight out, seemed to cure the problem.
