A lady I know has a Labradoodle
she asked that when she got Tommy she was given his pedigree.
But as he is a labradoodle, a breed not recognised by the kennel club, can he actually have a pedigree? His mum was a pedigree labrador and his dad a pedigree poodle but as he is a cross breed, and he has a pedigree name.

What do you think?

A pedigree is just a list of his ancestors; a bit of paper, nothing more.

What he can't be is registered with the Kennel Club.

I suppose what they have done is combine the 2 pedigrees of the different animals as all a pedigree is - a list of ancestors/family tree

re name any crossbreed/mongrol can go on the activity register but obviously as he is a cross he wont be on any breed registry
