You must be very worried but hopefully it is something which is treatable. My friend is a vet and they seem to have a bad opinion of GSDs (all agressive behaviour examples at vet school were GSDs according to him) so probably the sedation is for the vet's own protection.

Please try to stay positive, it must be very hard. Thinking of you. x
