Dog repellent?

Maybe repellent is the wrong word.

After a great period of chewing nothing for two months, my old boy has got upset and chewed a nice chunk out of the door when I have been at work (I pop im at lunch and my GF is a teacher who gets in early / tonnes of holiday)

Any magic potions to stop him chewing the walls?

I tried something from a petstore once, or maybe asda.
It was this bitter spray but it just seemed to spur him on, he enjoyed it lol

Just when you think he is past it

If you are leaving the toys out all the time then he will probably be a little bored with them, I only have toys out when i want to play.. (which is most the time buy hey... )

He's probably just a bit bored and chewing new things is interesting...

what about the old faithful kong, with a new filling?

We sprayed Tilly's paws with the bitter apple spray she bluddi loved it

Special toy for when you go out, only gets it when you go out, filled with treats so he has to work to get them out.

Doggies chew coz they're bored, toy with treats in will keep him occupied, not bored = safe doors

I personally don't like repellants, it doesn't deal with the underlying issue of the puppy needs something to occupy him. If you put repellant on the door, he'll just chew somewhere else

Doesnt help that he has somehow lost his favourite toy, a bacon flavoured nylabone

I did actually try the chilli method, it worked but didnt look pretty against the cream wall.
I love chilli's so always have some 'instock'.

Yeah it was the bitter apple one he loved, he was about 5 months old and thought it was a treat!

I heard that vicks vapour rub works well as a chew deterrent, although I havent tried it myself. Bonus with clear sinuses for all in the house over the winter
