Flyball, has anyones dogs on here took part?

Hi, were off to a flyball training session tomorrow. Although only as spectators due to lecis cut paw still really looking forward to it. Has anyone ever done it before? For anyone that doesnt know what it is (i'd nevee heard of it before) it looks kind of like a dog relay race jumping over small hurdles. Will put a link up to the video once im on laptop it looks really good, i was amazed at how much the dogs seemed to be enjoying it but putting so much effort in to do it so fast. Although i laughed and said to the trainer you must be joking if you think lexi will do that shes assured me its not that difficult to get them into it, plus she`ll meet loads of dogs so if nothing else it should be fun for her.

Glo did that with Zennie, she had to stop when she became ill, but Zennie LOVED it. She said the same about the recall, but he picked it up really quickly

She'll love it Mike, which one are you going to? If it's the same one you'll see Glo there when she's 100% back on her feet

It was in hyde near the rising moon pub on matley lane if you know it gloria?

Vicky dawe she is called the woman who organises it, nice woman she does dog training classes too.

Lexi enjoyed herself, a little too much lol. She ran straight through the jumps to get the ball off one of the trainers, then i had to shout her and run off so she followed me and went back through the jumps. That was the idea to get her going through them as a beginner. She did well except once she went through them on her way back with the ball, when i told her to 'come here' her recall had vanished and she was off, running upto all the other dogs who were trying to do there thing. Little bugger, think she just had too much energy though from not being off the lead for a few days with a poorly paw.

Cant understand it though, about 2 weeks ago her recall was excellent, every single time she came right to my feet. Shes slowly forgotten it over 2 weeks im going to have to get knuckling down with that.

Saying that though they said she did well for her first time and she definitely wasn't the worst there so we'll be back again for it.
