Cooling bed

has anyone got a cooling bed for their dog.

Lukey is always hot and will go outside and cool on the paving stones, then want to be back in with the family.

His coat has got even more dense since being neutered and I think it would possibly be a good investment. I could put it in a place where he could chose to use it so regulate his own temperature. I need to be able to turn up the CH and needs to be cooler.

I've been looking at Canine Cooler and it has very good reviews. It is becoming a bit of a problem and when he finds somewhere cool it is hard like paving stones or vinyl flooring in the kitchen but then needs windows open and its getting cold.

The large size is a lot more expensive than the medium which 3' x 2'.

I'll see if I get any responses.

His cool bed arrived yesterday, will set up today and let you know how he gets on.

It's freezing outside so I would like the house warm and he likes to be cool so we'll see if it works. I will leave it so he can go on his vet bed if he wants to be cozy or his cool bed if he wants to be cool. Before you think he is the spoiltest dog on the planet he is not allowed on the bed or the sofa if we had a leather sofa I would think about it though

He is hot all year round anyhow.

Bought medium size as we already have a very large crate in the kitchen and also price jump to large was huge.

They are very popular over here as are the heated ones in winter. Our dogs (even the gsds) feel cold when it drops below 20C

I'm hoping it is going to be good. Below 20 wow - no wonder the dogs head for their cozy beds. I know if it's been chilly here as Lukey leaves the vinyl floor and finds his cozy vet bed.

Will take pics when I get sorted.

Is this a Shepherd thing that they are hot dogs?!?

Isla is always toastie warm and drinks loads. Her paws are always baking hot (dont know if that is a good way to tell their temp, somebody once told me paws and ears)

Will be interested to hear the outcome of your coolbed.
