I can't keep this under my hat any longer!

I can’t keep this under my hat any longer…

In November 2011 Ellie and Jones did a magnificent feat which saved my husband’s life during a major diabetic hypo, not only did the worked together to get him as near to home and safety , when he was unable to go any further Ellie stayed by his side, and Jones came the rest of his way home on his own to raise the alert that Les needed help…

Ellie and Jones had before this feat taken on the role of our diabetic hypo dogs, detecting and warning us when our blood glucose levels start becoming dangerously low, even waking us at night if needs be.
.
Last December they were nominated for the PDSA Gold award… Which has been a very long winded process but tomorrow Their nomination will be presented to the PDSA trustees to determine whether they are worthy of the Gold award or perhaps warrant a Certificate of Commendation…

I’m praying that the Trustees see that they are very special dogs that go above and beyond their duties as pets and worthy of receiving the highest honour that can be bestowed to a civilian dog The Gold Award

Oh my goodness, how amazing. What a terrible scare for you and how amazing were Ellie and Jones. I do hope it is recognised and that your husband is well.

They did a wonderful thing Jo and I really hope they get the recognition they deserve very soon. You should not have to wait so long for this, they should get their act together and reward your dogs for being so remarkable. xxx

I remember that so well! I thought it was all over & done with, the awards I mean.

Good luck, but even if they don't get the gold award, we all know that they so deserved it!
