healing thoughts for stella today
sending healing thoughts to stella today (this is stella the heinz 57..NOT stella the gsd). she is about 10 or 11 years old. her owner got her when she was about 6 months old. she is un neutered, but has never been bred from, with her owner, however, she went to the vets (pappys vet) on tuesday because she was swollen, and bleeding. he said not to worry, and because the blood was watery, there was nothing to worry about. yesterday, he took her into the pdsa charity shop, and the lady behind the counter is a vet assistant, and she told him to go for a second opinion asap. because she was adamant it was a womb infection. hes on a low income so he took her to the pdsa vet place. the vet there was horrified that the previous vet had said every thing was ok. and an ultrasound revealed 2 lumps of toxins that had built up in stella pressing against her kidneys and if she had not been treated she could have died within days. shes having emergency surgery this morning to have a hysterectomy. and fingers crossed she is going to pull through this.
stella had a horrible start to life, her owner, simon, was cycling home from work down a lane type road, and the car in front dropped her out of a car. the car was still moving slowly. and they just dumped her there. so simon picked her up and took her home. and the rest is history. he wasnt a doggy person before stella came along. but he adores her. hes in his 50's, and he has always lived on his own with stella. shes his companion, and friend. and she goes with him every where. it will be so sad if she doesnt make it. pappy loves playing ball with stella on the field. and hes always gentle with her. bless her, she tries to keep up with the ball games, but her poor legs dont work as well as they used to

Bloody vet should be shot! You always get one bad one in the cart, but I am so pleased that Stella's owner took the advice and got a second opinion. He should report the first vet. I reported a vet after she diagnosed my Cassie dog with CDRM, which she never had.
I do hope Stella makes a full recovery.

She's beautiful, poor girl. I will pray for her over the next few days, and I'll light a candle for her when I get to work tomorrow.
