Addison won't eat - is she pining for Ella-Bella
Addison hasn't eaten for 24 hours. Nothing will tempt her. I don't know if she's pining for Ella-Bella or if there is something else wrong.
I will be taking her up to the vets this morning but I'm really worried about her.
It's taken me months to get weight and muscle tone on her.
When I went to work she used to lay by Ella-Bella at the front door.
She is drinking but won't eat a thing

I would imagine she is missing her friend, try not to make an issue of it, just give her little and often and if she hasn,t finished her meal by about 20 minutes take it up, dont over fuss her or you are confirming to her something is wrong, just treat her as normal.
as long as she is drinking I wouldn't worry too much, she will get there, bless her

Thank you - I'm worried about her. Absolutely nothing will tempt her to eat. I am taking her for a vet check just to put my mind at rest.

xx I am thinking she is worried about you xx she will pick up that you are sad and so rightly so xx just give loads of TLC and do something that I don't normally suggest give a really special treat, like chicken/ham and feed it to her from your hands, sit on the floor with her go down to her level and give cuddles............but not all the time tho lol xx stay strong cos if you fall to pieces then I will too xxxxxxxxxxxx
but a quick trip to the vet won't hurt.............

I'm pleased to say that after lots of cuddles and much coaxing she's finally eaten something. It just goes to show how sensitive this wonderful breed can be......

I'm so glad she has eaten something. You must have been so worried and don't need this as well.

Yes I've been so worried about her. She's still looking very down but we went out and got some mince for her to tempt her some more. The cattle girls are very close so I think she felt lonely because Ella-Bella was always so gentle she could sit with her quietly
