Bet is on a distinguished road
I had a bit of a b****-fit with my living room carpet a couple of weeks ago (also cream) I was sick to death of trying to keep it clean. I've tried mats, towels, sheets on the floor but was fighting a losing battle against mud and Maisy's little accidents! So I ripped it up and we're going back to wood. So i'll be looking for a decent steam mop myself soon.

I really think that wood floors are the best,..especialy as in our case we have four dogs,.. within a few minutes for being flilthy they are cleaned with an ordanary mop, one of the best things we ever did was put those floors down, we have them in the front room and the hall/passages

Sorry to hear you all have trouble keeping your floors spotless.
I myself have no such problem, my house is spotless smells beautiful and not a hair ball in sight.

Oh.... no sorry that was my dream, I'm awake now and I'm back with you.
I need a new mop.

I know a lot of people have wooden floors now but I worry the dogs would skid on them. If you are in a flat and you have them the person in the downstairs flat will find it noisey (nothing to do with this).

I have vinyl in the kitchen where he mainly comes in from the garden and walks if weather is bad then carpet in the living room.

It works OK with the towels, I can't afford to change anything so it's just as well.
