back home..

hi everyone..been away for a while to see relatives but home now and trying to catch up on reading all the posts ive missed....didnt have pc there so couldnt even have a peek....all the doggys here look super duper..
horrible day, windy and rainy but just glad to be back.. driving to plymouth this morning to take girls to the dentist and not looking forward. hate driving in this weather..
anyway, dogs are all fine.. i now have a little freezer just for sams food and have found a mobile slaughterman who will give me as much food as i want, so i now am filled up with trotters, pigs heads, pigs hearts and loads of beef and bones.. all for free....my friend has lambs and pigs and we fish..she loves her fish so we are trading fish for lamb and pork as well....
just waiting for spring now....

Not sure I could handle the pigs heads. Do you feed them whole or have to chop them up??

yeah at last. up this end i dont have much joy finding that sort of thing but down the other end of cornwall where i used to live contacts are better. i only trust the garage that end and have always used it for mot's servicing and anything else that needs doing, even when i moved back to essex for 2 years i still used to come up here for my car.. my exhaust broke in half 6 weeks ago and ive been driving around with it fixed together with tape and garden wire till i could get down there.. so went last week and while there went to my friends who has the yard and it is her slaughter man who has come up trumps. so once a month ill drive down and fill up.. freezer meat and a fixed car. im happy..

LindaM will become famous soon enough
Sounds like you have found some tasty food, I feed Lukey raw food outside. I'm not sure I would be any good with a pig's head. He has had a trotter but I had to freeze it first as it looked a bit like a hand and I went squeamish. He loved it
