brush and hoover

I just wondered if anyone can help. Willow seems to be moulting constantly - I don't think it's proper moulting but she does seem to lose hair all the time. I have used an undercoat rake on her (which she hates) and also a slicker brush (which she prefers), but when I have finished, she still seems to need another good brushing!! Does anyone have any ideas of other brushes etc that I could use that might work better?

The next question is does anyone have a hoover they can recommend? At the moment I have a dyson, but to be honest, I have a feeling that it is not going to last that long! Every time I hoover, I almost totally fill it just with Willow hair and I don't think it likes it very much!

Any advice would be gratefully received!

I have a stain Hoover, the DC27 animal. I like it, mind you I like dysons! The added bonus is so does Ozzie! Dyson made a groom tool attachment for their hoovers and Ozzie loves it!!

They are basically a slicker that sucks the up as you get it off!

I have a DC18 All Floors and will check to see if the groom tool is compatible with it. Sounds good.

The groom tool sounds amazing in theory - unfortunately Willow is frightened of the hoover!!

I think which every hoover you have to change or wash your filters regularly.

My current machine, not a Dyson, will fill up and clogg the filter with fine mud and dust that end's up like sand. After each use I will clean the filter and wash it every few goes.

Taking care of filters really helps.

Simple answer to your problems Yvonne: laminate flooring everywhere, ah ah!!

We have some carpet too in the hall and I usually remove most of Diva's hair from it with a window scraper and then hoover, much easier!! But if you have big areas covered with carpet, I guess you dont fancy being on your hands and knees scraping it so not sure what to advise. We have an ancient hoover which seems to do the trick (well must admit my house is not vaccuumed very frequently - hang head in shame!)
