Dyson Animal all the way for me, with the pet removal tool. Olli is petrified of the hoover, so no chance of giving him a going over with the pet hair removal tool

I bought the Dyson because of the Grooming Tool (you can see a vid of it in aciton on their website). The tool seems perfect for Max's coat.

Its excellent, I just stuff treats in their mouths when using it, now when the Hoover goes on there's a queue!

Hi Everyone,

I ended up getting the Dysons DC24 Animal, its amaaaaaaaazzinnnngggg, glad im indecisive and couldnt decide what to get as they've now got it on offer at currys for £199.

Got the grooming tool as well, £35 well and truly down the drain as frankie isnt having any of it. I dont understand how she will attack and try to bite the hoover but when i go near her with the grooming tool she runs terrified and cowers in the corner, how mean do i feel chasing her round with it

Any tips on getting her to let me groom her, shes fine with the normal brush, food is not working

Thanks

how is her leave command?

Leave the hoover going for a while in the backround, once she's calmed down from the intial excitement put a high value treat in front of her so she focuses on it then tell her to leave. with the hoover attachment not attached start to stroke her with it then when no reaction pick up the treat from the floor and give her another from your other hand. Repeat this about 6-8 times. LOADS OF PRAISE TOO...

Then after a few hours break, try the same thing, but with the hoover attachement attached. I'd keep her on a lead at this point as she will bolt... gently hoover her ignoring the protests and once calm and accepting (this will take a while) treat... and praise...

Jackson took a few attempts and still has a tantrum now and again... although he no longer lunches at the hoover.

Hope that helps...

Thanks will try that tonight

Im allergic to frankies hairs, and no matter how much i brush her she still sheds like theres no tomorrow, so with summer coming up she best get used to being hoovered on a daily basis
