So upset!!
Hi Everyone
I am absolutely shocked! I have just been on the seafront with my Mum walking three dogs, one of them is my GSD Inca, my friends spaniel and my mums goldie. All of the dogs are very gentle, lovely with other dogs and people (how lucky!) The seafront is called 'the dog beach' and lots of people walk down there with their dogs off lead as it is enclosed from the road. Today it was quiet. one our way back, I saw inca approach a woman (I call her a woman, think she was a devil in disguise) and the woman shoo'd her away by flicking her arms about and kicking her feet. She had a man with her too and they did the same when Angus (the goldie) approached them too. Fair enough, they dont like dogs...but as wel levelled with them she gave me such a glare and was tutting at me, so I said, politely "it is a dog beach, they are allowed to be free" With that she jumped up and began screaming at me, hurlinng abuse, calling me a fat cow with my "stinky dogs" to "crawl back to the hovel I came from" that she doesnt want dogs anywhere near her. I was just defending myself, but so shocked I was only saying things like "go away" and leave us alone. It was horrible. Then my mum pointed out that the dogs are gentle and didnt touch her, and then the man started yelling at my mum, telling her it was nothing to do with her! With that, I squared up to him and told him to back off to leave my mum alone or I would ring the police and that he is a disgrace. he told me to stop pointing at him and I refused, I was so angry!!! I think he was going to hit me as I didnt move away from him when he advanced on me, but the woman grabbed him and took him away. She then yelled - " I have severe asthma you know" I was so upset by that point and had really been very restrained, but unfortunately I lost my rag and told her to " choke on it you bog eye'd b*tch" They were shouting at me s we walked off. It was terrible, really shook me up. None of the dogs did anything wrong and it is normally so friendly down there, And, just to point out, I dont look stinking or fat at all!!! How rude were they?!! In a way i wish he had hit me then I could have rung the police on them!!

What a delightful couple - not! I hope you're ok, try not to worry too much about these morons, clearly nothing better to do with their lives than insult others.

I think it must be National Idoit Week! I had an encounter with one of these idiots yesterday, they must be out in full force!
Despite it not being a very nice experience once you`ve calmed down I`m sure you will laugh about it. Your final words to her did make me chuckle though, made me spit a bit of coffee out
Matt

I wouldn't of bothered my arse with them, in fact I wouldn't even of wasted the energy required to move my eye muscles in their direction!

I wouldn't normally react to people who don't like dogs at all, but they were so aggressive, the police are involved now anyway so hopefully they'll be dealt with for anti social behaviour. In their 60s too!!!

What a horrible experience.
They don't sound 'quite right' flying into an unprovoked rage like that. Still an awful shock for you and your mum.

Some times the best way to deal with people like that is to do nothing more than laugh at them, they shout to get attention, and hate being laughed at.
Having said that, that kind of thing has never happened to me, and I can understand how idiots like that could get under your skin
Did you phone the Police when you got home?,.. what was their immediate responce to your complaint?

What sort of moron would go to a "dog beach" if they had severe asthma. You seriously need some wine and chocolate now lol.

Hiya
Yes I rang the non emergency police when I got back home and as they had threatened and intimidated me they are taking it v seriously, looking at CCTV etc. I am normally very hard to rile and avoid confrontation, but when the man began abusing my mum I had to get involved. Wine and choc is definitely out tonight!
Thanks for your support everyone, feel much better about it all now!
