My toes are numb

Just got in from a lovely walk but I can't feel my toes lol. Once a month we go on an organised dog walk around the lake (which was frozen today). I wore my thermals and lots of layers but still managed to freeze me bits off.
Only the hardened walkers today. 3 german shepherds, a newfoundland and a couple of springer spaniels. All of them seemed to enjoy the slight snow fall and played nicely.
Unfortunatley I had to cut the walk short and leave after about 20 minutes. One of the other dogs is a stud dog and was taking rather a lot of interest in Sasha. We have been checking for signs of her first season and all seemed ok this morning, but he just wouldn't leave her alone today. Even if she were "safe" I didn't think it fair as it would have been driving him nuts. Hopefuly we'll see signs ourselves and it might mean she'll be finished and clear before next months walk.

Sounds like a lovely walk. I enjoy solitary dog walks, but do like meeting up with friends every so often for a group walk. Any pics?

We have had a covering of snow today too, and the dogs loved it - although I wasn't too keen when it was blizzard-like conditions

Poor Sasha would probably have got a bit fed up of the attention from her would-be suitor as well, so I guess it was the sensible thing to do, to cut short your walk.

Hope you enjoy your next one ... and take pics

I'll definatly take pics the next time. Normally she is glued to my side so it's never been worth it. Today she ventured off with the others for a run around. She's never too far from me but she's gaining in confidence every day.

Sounds lovely I like group walks but every now and again I need peace and quite with my girls. Poor girl her stalker would have tested her patience if youd kept walking and she would have eventually gave hima telling off

Beki is a jewel in the rough
It sure is chilly out!!! We go on regular training group walks with ellie to help her issues n once she is settled its so nice to see her off trotting around with other dogs. I take jack on some as well as I know they are "safe" dogs plus she regularly has a gaggle of poodles that he loves to charge around with lol x
