confused

As you most probably know im new to this forum.

The reason I'm confused is, is this forum primarily for pure bred KC GSD?

My Lucy I would say is a GSD, she isn't KC registered, her dad was but her mum wasn't.

When I went to see her I saw both mum n dad.

She hasn't the typical face of a GSD either, it is much softer. Now I have not read all the posts on here, but to me looking at some of the posts on here it kind of seems that if the dog isn't a pure bred, then it is wrong.

Maybe me, or if someone would like to clarify.

Hi this forum is about helping people who have problems with there dogs; its a forum to talk about any type of animal, there is a section in the forums where you can talk about any other animal you own.

regarding the recent posts they are aimed at the purebred GSD and how they have been breed etc

Diesel's not a KC registered GSD....he came to me by accident and was purchased by my o/h sister so I have no idea of his lineage.

Fair enough, it seemed to me as a 1st time user that the forum was set out to be exclusive for pure breds after reading some of the posts on here thats all.

Thanks for clarifying it up for me. As long as me and Lucy are welcome then thats fine by me.

You and Lucy are very welcome

Sorry if the forum posts gave you that impression, but as Gsdowner explained this was first set up for somewhere people could go and talk to others who have got KC registered GSD's with health issues, but it's certainly not exclusive to KC reg GSDs.

I think the forum name throws people, before I set up the forum the domain mygermanshepherd was a website with pictures of my dog on it, after my dog became ill I became very interested in pedigrees/bloodlines and I was shocked has to how many bad breeders there is out there and I was gobsmacked into how many breeders throw out back stock yet still charge "purebred prices" and its not just GSD breeders either.

and yes you and lucy are more than welcome to get stuck in

Although Tess is a pure GSD she is not KC reg or anything fancy, we have been made most welcome. There is technical stuff for the clever people into all the breeding lines and all that stuff that goes straightover my head! lol.

You are very welcome and will no doubt receive valuable advice or just people to share your funny stories with!

Welcome to our nutty forum!!!!
