It looks good, but I'd have a very soggy carpet

Paddling pool
Mine have their very own paddling pool, it was a tenner from B&Q 2 years ago. Its been the best thing I have ever bought for them. Heidi is always in charge, shes like a hooligan in it. Harvey thinks hes brave if all four paws go in. Once it gets dirty though, thats it they wont go in it.

Thats a terrific idea Jenny, might just have to buy Dalton a paddling pool, I know this will only lead to trouble with him and water though, he loves water lol

Del has a paddling pool too! Its one of those solid ones that can also be used as sand pits as his claws are so sharp. Also living by the river we go for lots of swims first and last thing when he gets hot. I need to keep him fit & slim so he swims for his ball rather than chasing it on the ground. Have blinds closed, fans on the floor (behind the dog gate so he can't knock it over or get tangled up in it), windows open, My ex even used to go swimming in the river with him.....

Am a bit of an expert on this as in winter here it rarely drops below 20C during the day and in the summer mid 30s.
Don't walk your dogs on a dark pavement on hot days - it's baking hot.
Lots of rest breaks in the shade. Putting water on their paws cools them down.
Luckily I've never seen a dog locked in a car here.
Lots of people who don't have aircon have the cool beds and they work really well. They change them to heated beds if it drops below 20C during the day as everyone thinks we're having a cold snap......they have no idea!!
