Exactly the same as Bodie, and he is just turning 10 months now. Also Bodie will not go anywhere bar his "designated areas" ie, our yard or my mothers. He will hold everything in while we are out walking, ( even off leash) until we get back home!

Yes to the first part, a young dog will not cock his leg for quite a while yet, my Sam is just over a year old, and he is just starting to cock his leg,.....sometimes...lol
As for moving around while pooing,... how does it look, is it soft, or hard?,... they can sometimes do this if consipated, they can also do it if he is very loose and he is a little sore

Well if he is not consipated,or loose then it might just be his way, some dogs are like this,.. but I dont think you have a problem other than you are going for a futher walk than you planned...lol

Someone told me once that if they cock their leg before they get castrated they always will but if the reverse they never will
Dont know how much truth is in that.
Maybe we should have a poll
