For George and Joanne
I just wanted to start this thread to send all our love and hugs to Joanne.
This forum was started after Joanne got George and found that irresponsible and bad breeding purely for financial gain had destroyed her dream of a long and happy life for her and her new puppy.
George has sadly passed away at a terribly young age and I am sure Joanne is devastated.
I would like to send Joanne and her family my heartfelt love and thanks for a fantastic forum that has helped me and my dogs a great deal.
I hope that this forum and George and Joanne's experience will go some way to stopping the horrific industry of breeding purely for financial gain.
I am concisous of the irony of me posting this having white shepherds which I now know have been at least partly bred just for their colour and price they could command.

I still can't quite believe he's passed. Joanne has done everything within her power to give George the best ever life!! Sharing soo many laughs, nipples not ticks! As well as the hard times where he's really struggled and she has been by his side to comfort and reassure him. She has fought tooth and nail with his breeders to try and stop anyone else suffer the heart ache.
Run free of pain in the forever green fields baby boy. Heaven has a bright star!!

I can half imagine the way she is feeling right now, the heartache of losing a young dog is unbearable and even 4 months on I cry everyday for my Ozzy...
I think this forum is a wonderful place. Everyone is friendly and supportive. I came here after adopting Max and I feel I have started to make some really good friends.
My thoughts are with Joanne and her family, R.I.P George xx

I can only imagine how unbearable it is to lose a young dog Old or young, they leave an empty void in our hearts when they go. That's why we need to keep fighting and educating people about the health and welfare of our beloved breed xxx

Lol Joanne, I thought my (apparently castrated) dog had sprung some retained testes, when what I was actually feeling were bulbous glands !

George certainly never lacked for love and attention, You did all you could for the handsome lad, sadly he has lost his life, but he will still live on in your heart.
....and to think that George was the inspiration for this forum, it is through George that so many other Shepherds have gain help, so in many ways George lives on in many others,..so another fitting tribute to a beautiful dog
Thinking of you Jo
