Good books

Does anyone have any good books to recommend - whether they be GSD training and non-fiction, or GSD fiction?

Mine are :-

Understanding the German Shepherd by John Cree

Training the German Shepherd by John Cree

Moobli by Mike Tomkies

Twenty Wagging Tales by Barry Hawkins

Cassius by Gordon Thorburn

Any of Joyce Stranger's books - whether fiction or non fiction about her own dogs

Also - not specifically GSD related but I have recently enjoyed

Search Dog by Angela Locke
Sam & Co - Heroic Search Dogs of the Fells by Angela Locke

Search Dogs & Me by Neil Powell

The German Shepherd Dog: Its History, Development and Genetics (K and R classics) by Malcolm B Willis

Had this book since it was published - fantastic book.

I have a Malcolm Willis Genetics book, but it is so heavy and thick, I don't think I have even attempted to read it yet and have had it for years

Must dig it out.

Stuart - living where you do, have you never read "Moobli" - or any of Mike Tomkies' other books?

You know, at the back of my mind, I have always known about that book, [ as you now know from the other thread] we only live a short distance from the `captains` house,...[ `The Captain` is the man who lives in Tomkies house now]... but I have never thought of reading his book,.. I must do so, I will look for it on Amazon

I have just ordered the `tracking dog` tonight
