Kane driving us mad

Just a quick update on how Kane is keeping.
He sleeps well,eats well,seems to grow every day but has a few habbits we are not keen on.Mainly his mouthing with everyone,he has also snapped at my wife which scared her,he is only 11 weeks old and I guess he is just "testing the water" with some things.
When I walk him he tries to eat his lead but,when we are in the woods I take him off the lead and he strolls along at my side tail wagging but whines a bit,I don't know if he is just being a bit vocal.
He has learned how to climb the stairs (up and down) and will sit and stay on command.He is coming along well with fetch when he can be bothered!!
Kane is easily distracted when he see any other people and wants to go and say hello he also gives you a high five!!!
We still put him in his crate at night and he will sleep through until I get [U]p at 5am for work and let him out for toilet.
We love him to bits and would just like to know we are doing everything right with him so far.

I have a feeling that he probably shouldn't be doing the stairs yet.........someone more 'puppy-wise' than me will advise soon I expect!

I know, we didn't encourage it,he sussed out how to open the stair gate!!!

it took sally about an hour to figure out how to open the stair gate...so we got a new one that took me about an hour to fugure out lol!

Aww he sounds a real sweetie....I wouldn't let him go up and down the stairs on his own at this age tbh, can you put up a stair gate?
