New puppy

well to all you good ppl the time has come i go to pick my new baby up in an hour im so excited ...went to see him last week he was 5 weeks old what a chubby little thing he was feeeding himself she said he is independant ....but she phoned to say if i wanted to pick him up this week i could .as he wasnt going to his mother ...and the mother was starting to snap at the pups as she has had enough .......so could you all give me good advice as he is 6weeks ...and want to give him the best all his toys and bed awaits him ......chat soon .....tracey xxxx

well hs home ...ive named him TYE .... he travelled in the car and slept all the way ..got home he is a gem sits at my feet follows me all over ...i woke to banging i thought he is having a go at my new dining room suit ...but i left my slippers for him as he sits on my feet ..so i woke and found him playing with the slipper ...i got a lovely greeting tail wagging and kisses ....he is a little bud ...god bless him ...... i have a menu of 2 weetabix in the morning ..then pupy food and dried at lunch ..then dried at tea time .then supper scrambled egg ...is this ok for him ......just a bit worried is it to much or he is getting enough is it better to put more in a let him eat what he wants .....xxxxxx ill send piccies very soon

What a good boy - the slippers would have been shredded in my house!!
I wouldn't let him eat what he wants because you could end up with a very Tubby Tye

If he were mine I'd gradually wean him onto just a good quality puppy food. The amount to give depends on each individual dog but as an example: Freddie was 7 weeks when we got him and he started on 4oz of arden grange puppy biscuits mixed with three quarters of a pack of naturediet per day and we've adjusted it gradually as he's grown making sure he's gaining the correct amount of weight.

OMg, Tye sounds like such a good puppy! He he allowed to sleep inside or does he have an outdoor bed?? You should put up some pics, we wanna see the little guy!
