Don't apologise, I'll merge this with the other thread. I totally agree with you, this is animal cruelty and they should be made to pay!!!!!

Plus I've just seen yours has the petition on.....cheers hun...xx

I have been fuming since I heard this earlier this morning. There is no excuse, none whatsoever.A five year old child would tell you not to leave the dog in a hot car,two trained police officers!!! If it was up to me they should be thrown out the police. What standards are taught to the dog handlers if they can't even get the simplest of most common sense things right.2 sad needless deaths of two great animals who endured all that training to serve the public let down in the worst possible way by the person/people who they look up to the most.
Shoot the b*******. No doubt it will be a slap on the wrist and put on a training course for another department within the police.

I watched an animal show once, linked to the RSPCA etc, and it was at a festival, someone left there dog on the car, for 30 mins, the RSPCA man had to get a police man to break the car window, so they could get to the dog, as only the policeman could by law do it apprently, well its actaully disturbed me, but felt compelled to watch, this 2 year old black lab had died it showed the poor dog, and both the policeman and inspector went on about the dangers of leaving dogs in cars, The ownwer was saying but we only left it for 30 mins, 30 mins to long, Dalton hasnt been in my car for days, and kane goes off to work, its a 10 min max ride, with the air con on full blast, and Kim has a quirty dog bottle of water with her also, maybe a little over the top, but atleast he is safe

xx

There is absolutley no need whatsoever for leaving dogs in a car in the summer.

I use to take my two to work with me everyday & often it envolved a lot of travelling. For my lunch it was always a drive through or sarnies, I would never leave them.

If I had to go to meetings or be on site I would park the car somewhere safe, leave the air-conditioning on & often pay somone to watch the car for an hour, as you couldnt lock the doors with the A/C on. There is always a way !

This really does upset me, there is absolutley no need for this to happen.
