I have just seen this is on another forum...this is what I said there.
as someone who works with working dogs, I don't know what they were thinking I would never leave Woody in the van without the air con on in this weather, in our down time I am sat in the van with the air-con on full or our vans have the option of remaining running but you can remove the key and lock it so the aircon stays on. I prefer to stay in the van if poss but if not, the magic button is pressed and the engine and aircon remain running.
oh christ im gonna have to stay off this forum today i cant keep reading these things
some people seriously what the hell they thinking leaving a shep in a cra in that heat. Not like police dogs are well trained and he could have got the dog to sit and stay in the shade while he sorted out whatever he had to do in the station.
This is a bloody disgrace, they should be looking after their animals!!!

I can't express what I truly feel about this but how would they like to be locked in a car in this heat???
