Hi Dave,
Thanks for this, and I can understand your concerns. In fact we did return to the story earlier this week, and the latest we have is that toxicology tests are still ongoing, and the advice is to walk dogs on the lead in affected areas. One of my colleagues is looking for the 'official' email containing that information - I'll pass that on if he finds it!

Natural England says two MORE dogs have become ill after being walked in the Sherwood Forest area. It comes as toxicology tests on up to EIGHT dead dogs are still being processed. BBC RN's Pip Watts has the latest.

Natural England says the total number of REPORTED cases of dogs who've become unwell is now fourteen. As BBC RN reported last week, the deaths of up to 8 dogs are also being investigated. Natural England says most of the animals had been walked in the Haywood Oaks, Blidworth Woods, or Samson Woods areas. Its now been told that it could take a further 4 weeks for the results of toxicology tests on the dogs to be processed. In the meantime its advising dog walkers to keep their animas on leads in these area
