Rawhide Warning - Please read

Hi guys, this is a sad post but I really felt I should tell you.
I went to my local puppy training class last night with Rhana (my 14 week old GSD). The lady taking the class said 1 of the dogs (a boxer pup) who'd attended the class in the 1st week had sadly died. Apparently it had chocked to death on a rawhide chew. I believe it wasn't being supervised at the time. So I just wanted to warn others - please don't leave your dogs with these treats unattended. You hear about these things happening, but it doesn't really hit home until it happens to an animal you know

That is so sad but quite common in adult dogs as well. I take a couple of pieces to puppy classes when a new group starts and let them know what can unfortunately happen.

They were pulled from the back of a Labradors throat when he collapsed but luckily survived as the owners were there at the time.

I have'nt tried Rhana on anything like that yet, but if I do - I know I won't be letting her out of my sight!
Good to see others spreading the word. Keep up the good work Billy Sitch.

I sometimes give Joker pigs ears, he loves them but I worry about that, so I try to only give him them if I'm going to be around to keep an eye. Bloody terrifying really. Take care everyone.

OMG didn`t realise this could happen in adult dogs as well. I have often left them with a rawhide chew and have only supervised them when they were pups, well not any more....
