But with the press on the rampage over this i dout we will ever find out the real truth.
This was a case about8.5 yrs ago one of my dear friends Georgie Dinum who lived in SW london had a beautiful dog a very big staffie, very excitable but never aggressive he loved his owner to bits just as georgie loved Ben.
Then one night Georgie had a fit, he had never had one in his life, while Georgie lay on the floor fitting Bed started to paw and scratch at his owner this turned to frustration and ended up with Ben biting at georgie the worst bit was that ben bit at georgie and ended up biting into Georgies jugular vein, it was too late by the time paramedics arrived,
The stories that the press told and hounded the neighbours, even the press were phoning my grooming parlour and camped on my door step to see if i had been friends with Georgie, no of us gave any details about Georgie and Ben but the press made their own story up, the only thing that had been said was that ben was not a vicious dog and was not dangerous,
Ben was taken and distroyed the next day, we all know this action by Ben was not out of malice,
It's hard to think about Georgie not being around these days, and the way he died is even more tragic, but the press had a field day for the next couple of week and alot of fauls alergations were published at the same time.
Don't think we will ever get the real truth unless it's televised and not edited
At this time my thought are with the family and hope the little girl has a speedy recovery, and she isn't scared for life
