Does your dog pace

I was wondering if your dog paces at walk and trot or if they walk and trot on the correct diagonals how do you post a poll

yes right front and back leg moving forward at the same time it is a kind of rolling action dogs sometimes use it to save energy but some just naturally pace it is quite difficult to get a dog to trot properly not good in an obedience dog Harvey paces in trot and sometimes in walk

Caryll is a jewel in the rough
I've been lucky enough to never have a pacing dog! I was told years ago that it's either a sign of bad construction or old age!

no mine dont amble - you will get a heavily pregnant bitch amble to conserve energy - it is not a normal movement in the GSD although it is in Dobes

Harvey does it quite alot Zac sometimes, all the other GSD's i have had never did it but I was looking at a Sieger show on utube and noticed quite a few dogs pacing would it be considered a falt in showing. in obedience you never get realy good heelwork with a pacer That's why I have asked how many of our dogs Pace or amble especially GSD's
