Wlaking position
Been thinking about loose-lead walking/heelwork and thought I would ask people what position they consider acceptable when walking their dog.
So my question is this: Which part of your dog is next to your leg - if any!!

Depends on which direction we're walking- towards the beach Kira's bum is at my leg, going away from the beach her shoulder is at my leg.

Sully depends. When we are training his head is at my leg, but when we are just walking he thinks my leg needs to be next to his butt!!!!! He doesnt pull per se he just likes to be in front which I dont. Because he is reactive to other dogs and some people then I want him right next to me so that I have better control, especially if we are walking with the children as he will lunge accross me and then to get to another dog. This is definately a working progress with us
