The Maynard - Peak District Hotel - Hotel Breaks & Accommodation, Derbyshire

Peak District hotel and restaurant, The Maynard, was refurbished in March 2008 to become one of the best independent hotels in the Peak District. The building dates back over 100 years and during the refurbishment we have tried to respect this heritage whilst at the same time bringing the accommodation up to 21st century contemporary standards.

Always nice to see a dog friendly hotel...although I wonder if there are any restrictions like can't be over 5lb in weight, nor over 5ins in height...lol...sorry I'm quite pessimistic after the nightmare I had trying to find somewhere that would let me take a massive, nasty GSD...lol..

I am the Owner of The Maynard, we do not have restrictions, other that nice and well bahaved! A german Shepherd is as welcome as a Poodle!!

That is so great to hear and thank you for clarifying it. As I said in my last post I have had such a nightmare trying to find somewhere to stay for a week with my GSD, who is very well behaved but yet as soon as I said the breed we were dismissed

I only wish other hotels had the same attitude as you
