Exclamation Washing your dog without water!

Hi All

My dog hates water, and my neighbour has clumbers that she shows at crufts and recommended this stuff called NoRinse Kote Glo which she uses to clean her dogs before shows. I gave it a go and its brilliant. You apply the liquid to the coat, rub in and towel dry. Smells like bubblegum too!

I thought I would share, as im sure im not the only one who has a fight at bath time, and if you have an operation where you can't get the area wet its ideal!

This stuff is great too. I use it on Jenson when he isn't totally ditched.

Other than that he gets tied to a tree and has a 12 round special with the hose.

There are quite a few brands of dry dog shampoo. I used Dry Dog Instant Clean from Happy Tails before, it was pretty good (smelled like kiwi and melon), but didn't last long and was a bit pricey. Then I found a cheaper option - Pet Head Dry Clean, which is about a fiver cheaper and lasts a bit longer. It has a blueberry muffin smell, so Mischa doesn't mind it so much (she's not too keen on fruity smells). I find dry shampoos are very useful to keep the dog smelling fresh between proper washes, as Mischa also hates water and giving her a bath is not a very pleasant experience for us.

Kote Glo, isn't a dry shampoo, It's a liquid. I tried one of those dry ones they just aren't enough for my dogs.

The best we have used is Miracle waterless shampoo, they also do a foam one

HUB International (Mr & Mrs G Urquhart) No Rinse Shampoo

This one is ok but it is a foam, but does the job and can be bought at Pets at home
