1 year old German Shepherd bitch in Birmingham needs re-homing
Hi there,
We never thought that we would need to write this, but it's the best thing for our little girl.
We have a 1 year old german shepherd bitch (unneutered) called Lucy who, due to increasing work commitments needs a new home.
She is a lovely, caring little girl, extremely affectionate and great with kids (we have a 5 year old). She has a ton of energy and enjoys the company of other dogs (she loves playing with my mother-in-laws labrador).
Unfortunately we are finding that we need to be at work for longer hours and she is getting bored. This is not fair on her and she really needs to be with a family that she can be around all day and perhaps even have another dog to play with. We are extremely upset by making this decision however we know that she will be happier this way and it's more important that she is happy. For our own peace of mind, we would like to know that she has gone straight into a caring home rather than put her into the local kennels, as we want her to have the minimum amount of stress possible.
She has had basic training (sit, stay, lie down), however needs some more work on 'heel'.
Like I say, she is a beautiful little girl and we are mortified to have to do this (I'm crying as I type) but we just want what's best for her.
Thanks,
Lisa
p.s. I have a picture of her on my profile.

Sorry you have to make this choice it must be terribly difficult.
Unfortunately its too soon for me but in the near future my partner and I will be looking for a playmate for ours and I would have liked to help.
Whereabouts are you as this will help if anyone is interetsed..

We're in Birmingham, by the fort shopping centre. She's fully vaccinated and has just been wormed.
Thanks for your help.

p.s it might be an idea to get her spayed before you rehome her to avoid the gits who might be thinking about using her as a puppy machine

Sorry I missed that in the thread title
I agree with Delsmum about getting her spayed if you can.
