Can't believe this lovely boy still hasn't found a home I've copied the details about him from GSD Rescue.
This is Mickey, we believe he is a GSD X Malinois. He is 22 months old and now castrated and vaccinated. He was due to be put to sleep as his owners could not keep him and no local rescue could take him?
We are dog trainers that take in desperate dogs and then rehome home them when ready. Mickey has not had much training, if any at all and was quite a handful to start with. He is now however getting the idea that training and people are fun. He can now play with the other dogs but can be a bit rough with the softer breeds. He can be nervous in new situations but this is improving and as he has lived in a flat with limited walks this is quite understandable.
We are looking for an experienced owner who wants to do something with this lad as he is not ever going to be a quiet family pet Ideally as an only dog so he gets all the attention but could live with the right older female dog. He is not a very large dog and weighs in at 28 k perfect size and build for agility, with thankfully good joints and hips. He is very quick and the malinois side of him shows through the more training I do.
We feel an adult only home as we have no history of him with children but other than being over bouncy he is fine with my 15 and 16 year old sons. He is in our house not a kennel environment and we have crate trained him for when being left alone. Not cat friendly
He is in North Hertfordshire and a home check and donation is required.
For more details please email k9interaction@btinternet.com Alison 01462 790844.
He is coming on so well its such a shame he can not find his own home. Please no enquires about him doing security work etc as this is not something that we want for Mickey.
Reposted this on facebook xx hope this chap finds a home soon x
