Sadie is a 2 year old tiny German Shepherd female. This girl is a very lucky girl, she was saved from a horrible situation by one of our volunteers and thank goodness she was. Sadie was being kept in a tiny kennel with not much human company and very little food to eat if she was fed at all. Now in foster Sadie weighed just over 14kg when she came into our care, she is now gradually gaining weight and this will need to be continued in her new home.
Sadie was a very very scared girl she is now starting to gain confidence in her foster home and is looking for a experienced home to continue with this and bring out the best in her. Sadie needs a home where she will not be rushed, not pushed into anything and given time to take things at her pace, she does not like her collar pulled and to many people at once pushes her over the edge, a home without children, adults only or teenagers if they are respectful and will give her her space.
Sadie fears men more than women but given time we are sure she would come round if shown kindness and not brutality like we believe she has suffered in the past. Sadie shares her foster home with other dogs of all sizes, from tiny to huge and she gets on well with all, she would need a home with another confident calm dog or dogs as this brings out the best in her and she loves the company.
Sadie has bonded well with her foster mum who can do anything with her, it has shown us that given love and kindness this girl responds well. She is toilet trained and crate trained, her crate is part of her comfort zone and if spooked will run in there for safety. Sadie is a tiny German Shepherd about the size of a Border Collie.
After all this girl has been through from nearly being starved to death, to harm at the hands of people she now deserves a loving kind home, given a chance she would repay any kindness ten times over.
