Kipper ? 6 year old female German Shepherd Dog

Kipper is a beautiful German Shepherd bitch who came to us after being found as a stray. She is a lovely friendly and affectionate dog but, because we have no history for her, she will not be homed with small children and as she is quite large and clumsy we feel that teenagers would be best for her. She is strong on the lead but settles down quickly and then walks quite nicely. She knows some commands and sits down nicely at the kerb waiting to cross. She behaved well at the vets even though it was very busy, and they have estimated her age to be around 6. Generally she is ok with most other dogs but may be better being the only dog in her new home where she can be spoilt. We do not know how she is with cats.
