Not gsd But......
Does anyone know of someone who wants to rehome a golden retriever and a chocolate lab? I am sending my husband off to see the chap tomorrow with the numbers of Many Tears Rescue and Golden retriever Rescue wales, so hopefully they will go to good homes, anyone know of any other rescues in mid wales that may be able to take them on? Both dogs are quite young, lovely dogs. But the chap has split with his wife and is now working long hours and he feels it is unfair on the dogs being locked up all day long. Needless to say his ex doesn't want to know!

Child friendly
Any known health issues

I will pass this onto my rescue friends if needed, may i also suggest that you look on the forum Rescue Helpers Unite?

Not sure of all the details Jon, I will try and find more out. Both are quite young, 18 months - 2 years. They have lived with kids, so child friendly as far as I know. I know the retriever had a stomach upset at a very young age and he has to give her a yoghurt a day to help her system. No other health issues as far as I know!
He was going to advertise them free to good home, but I think my OH is going to talk him out of that when he sees him tomorrow. I am going to get him to give him the numbers of the two local rescues, so maybe they can help. I will try and get some more info!

Please stress to them not to advertise them free to good home, if it came to it I will drive collect them and take them to a rescue down here...
Free to good home dogs sometimes end up as bait dogs.. sad but sorry truth...

Don't worry Jon, I have told my OH the horror of free to good home! If it came to it, I would take them to a rescue myself rather than have him offer them like that! Also due to where we are, if they are not neutered they would probably end up as breeding machines!! I have told got my OH to give him the number of 2 rescues, plus he is going to get a bit more info off him too, will fill you later.

cool beans, I have friends up in Redditch (Birmingham) and in South Wales that would be able to help if need be.
