Holly is a beautiful young female German Shepherd who is in fine fettle despite finding herself homeless. Holly is still very much a youngster and does not appear to have had much guidance in her past, she is very pleased to meet people and jumps up for a cuddle she does need to learn to control her excitement when starting her walks. Although she is super keen , once in the woods she does relax and , for her size, she is not bad on the lead.
This young lady will need an experienced German Shepherd home where she can catch up on the training she has missed out on until now. Holly has come in with her coat in poor condition and her new owner will need to be prepared to groom her regularly. Holly gets on well with her kennel mate and will be a very rewarding dog.
UPDATE: From one of our volunteers.
I met Holly for the first time yesterday and she is so friendly, she did jump up me for a cuddle but was quick to learn that she got more attention when on the floor with all four paddy paws, i walked her with a young Rottweiler who wanted to play with Holly and was quite persistant, Holly took it all in her stride and was very good. She is very keen to get going but once on our walk she calmed down somewhat, she is a young girl and is full of exberance, she would need a home where she got the exercise she needs to keep her content but she would make a very loyal loving dog and is a intelligent girl who would be easy to train with rewards.
