Nice to chat to you this evening Dave. Your homechecker will be in touch very soon and hopefully you will be found suitable for Thai, or another lovely rescue GSD like him

Hi Dave,
Hope all goes well with your homecheck, please don't get your hopes set on Ty, unless you are prepared to come to Edinburgh with your Paterdale to let them meet. He is quite unpredicatable with other dogs. I thought it was maybe just males but the boxer we met on the beach was female and very friendly and he snapped at her. Not sure how far he would have gone as he was on a lead.
I have also spoken to another volunteer who looked after him in their home and he took a dislike to one of her three GSDs (fine with the other two).
So in short we wouldn't let him go to a new home without first testing him with the dog he was expected to live with, simply so he doesnt get send back to the rescue again for 'not getting on with my other dog'. We really do try our best to find him his forever home.

Hi thanks for advice kealagirl,we done this with our greyhound when we went to dumfries animal rescue to get the wee patterdale,we thought there might be a problem that day but it turned out wee paco just loved his ball and thought cuan was going to steal it ! they turned out to be the best of pals.If it doesn't work out with ty we would still be interested in re homing a gsd .
