Sabre is a 7 year old white German Shepherd boy who has come into RSPCA care due to neglect. Sabre was living with his son and neighbours were throwing food into the garden and he attacked Sabre over the food; the owner didn’t get him to a vet despite sustaining facial injuries. Sadly he is from a violent home so we can’t imagine what he’s been through. Sabre’s wounds have healed; he is slightly scarred but this will clear in time. He is under weight and has a couple of broken teeth and black eyes but is in very good health although he’s currently on drops for an ear infection.
Sabre has been wormed, flead, micro-chipped and started vaccinations including Kennel Cough. He will be castrated when he has put some weight on. He is absolutely gorgeous, he looks like a cuddly bear! He is really playful and friendly albeit slightly timid but that’s to be expected. He loves a good fuss and to chase balls and toys as the video shows and he is not toy possessive.
Sabre has been brought up with children and can be homed as a family dog. We’ve been advised by the Inspector he is good with other dogs and can potentially be rehomed with another. We do not know what he’s like with cats.
Sabre hasn’t had a great life and he deserves so much more, he’s a beautiful dog with the personality to match, his future is bright now and we’re sure it won’t be long before he finds his fantastic forever home!
