staffy found.......leeming lane

My friend of a friend has asked for this to be posted to hopefully have a happy ending..................Can someone please help me. I have acquired a dog, a staffordshire bull terrier, big one with dark brown patches on white fur. It jumped in my car at the 24 hour Garage on Leeming Lane...its a big one. With one dark brown eye, friendly enough, no collar but respo......nds to sit and lie down.....I don't know what to do with it. Have called the police and the dog warden is not at work today, I'd bring it in til I have found its owner but I have Quinn with me...I don't trust strange dogs.....Can everyone post this on their profile til the owner is found? Hopefully he is microchipped. Have you got a vet quite local that would be willing to check for a chip?
